 CLASS STRUGGLE:

Critical evaluation of Karl Marx's theory of class conflict

Karl Marx states that when the productive forces are expanded, new regulations arise and old institutions are destroyed. Thus discontent spreads in the society. The ruling class wishes to deprive the proletariat from their rights.

He opposes change in old institutions. Therefore, there is a conflict between these two classes. According to Marx, the existence of classes is very important. Each community has its own unique characteristics, beliefs and heritage. Classes determine the social environment of individuals. In the dialectical system of man, the economic classes take the form of views, opposing views and combined views. The powers of economically stable classes are transformed into social rights, which in turn form legal and political systems. Marx says that the class struggle started with the abolition of the tribal system. In fact, it is because of  the class conflict that humanity has set the stages of development. Every system of production gave rise to two opposing classes, namely the owner class and the labor class. The ruling class exploits the working class by controlling the means of production. The working class cannot survive unless it resists exploitation. Human history is rich with the struggle between these two classes.

In Marx's view, the struggle between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat is different from previous class wars because, for him, it is the final clash. In this, the proletariat will be victorious and a non-class society will emerge in which there will be no exploitation of any class.

Marx says that the class struggle of the present day is much simpler than the class struggle of earlier periods because now the grouping has become more clear.

"-Marx and Engels' famous book "Communist Manifesto” has a revolutionary program for the Proletariat class.

In the second part of this book, it was written :

"The first step in the revolution by the working class, is to raise the proletariat to the position of ruling class, to win the battle of democracy."

That is, the first stage of the revolution of the working class is that , to win the battle for democracy it is important that the proletariat class should be brought on equal to the ruling class.

The manifesto states that after the revolution the proletariat will seize all capital and means of production. In addition to the cancellation of land ownership and inheritance rights, as well as means of communication and means of production be nationalized.

According to the theory of Karl Marx, the capitalist economic system gives rise to two classes.

1:- Richest who have been given the name “HAVES”.

2:-The poors who have been given the name “HAVE NOTS”.

Critical evaluation of Karl Marx's theory of class conflict

According to Marx, the Haves are constantly exploiting the Have Nots because the capitalists who are part of the Haves are having control over all the production means and resources. So they are fully engaged in exploiting Have Nots. Because the poor class Have Nots is helpless and indigent. It is written in his fate to grind at the hands of the capitalist. Marx proposed the theory of class conflict as a reaction to these ideas. Even if the working class is compelled to work in the factories of capitalists. Yet he is a staunch opponent of capitalist. Whenever he gets a chance, he will rise up against the capitalist and be able to bring out his equal status in the society by abolishing this class system.
