1:-Social Interaction:
The need for parties for interaction. Parties interact with each other through actions. It is important to be aware of each other's actions, but it doesn't necessarily require being face to face. For example, writing a letter to someone is a form of social interaction, even though both parties may not physically see each other. Similarly, two enemy or opposing generals also interact socially regarding battle plans. Social interaction is essentially a subjective orientation to the way parties interact.
2:-Reciprocity:
Reciprocity is necessary in social interaction. For
example, spies engaging in actions against each other may not constitute social
interaction because there is no reciprocity between the two; neither of the two
knows each other. This also applies to the case of oppressors and the
oppressed. Both actions are not considered social interactions. Such actions
are akin to mechanical actions, where one person is shooting at another, and
the other is shouting and crying. Social interaction requires organized and
controlled systems.
3:-Forms
of Interactions:
In Sociology and Anthropology, the forms and patterns of
interaction and relationships can be described as follows:
(i). The first and most basic form of behavior is
animalistic, involving different body movements.
(ii) These purposeful actions are followed by.
(iii) social behaviors and actions that directly or indirectly
affect or relate to other people and require a response from the other side.
(iv) After the first three levels, various forms and
patterns of social contacts emerge. Social processes are two-way, and from
them, social interaction originates. These social interactions form the
foundation of social contacts.
Next comes the category of purposeful movements.
Social relationships and connections are given names
(symbols) such as parents, children, relatives, teachers, officers,
subordinates, and siblings. In short, these relationships hold society
together, and social life depends on understanding and assessing them. Based on
this understanding, these relationships are determined. These interactions are
studied in contrast to each other to understand how people live and create
stability in their affairs.
4:-Exchange
Relationships:
When a person performs an action towards another person, the other person also provides a reward in return.
5:-Cooperation:
Cooperation is the mutual collaboration of people or
groups to achieve common interests. For example, cooperation can occur between
two individuals or, in certain situations, as a reflexive or optional necessity
for interaction. This mutual aid is a globally recognized example of cooperation.
(i). Directed cooperation support:
Another form of cooperation is when a third party offers
cooperation, known as Directed Cooperation.
(ii) Contractual Cooperation:
Contractual cooperation involves groups entering into a
contract to cooperate for specific purposes.
(iii) Conflict Relationships:
Hostile, conflictual situations force conflicting groups
and parties to establish specific types of relationships for inevitable social
change. Conflict Relationships, as defined by George Simmel, can include wars,
conflicts, litigations, and conflicts based on specific ideas.
Importance of Social Interaction:
(i). Regarding young children:
Opportunities for social interaction in society are
crucial for children, especially for small children. They identify themselves
and the people around them through social interaction. This interaction begins
in the family, with parents. As children develop, playing with other children
becomes a form of social interaction. Through these games, children learn sharing,
cooperation, and respecting others' property. Children's social interaction
serves to teach them many valuable skills.
(ii) School-going children:
Sports play an essential role in teaching children vital
skills that benefit both them and society in the future. When schools include
both disabled and healthy children, experts recommend giving opportunities for
them to play together. This allows both groups of children to learn important
life skills.
(iii) Promoting Social Interaction:
Interactions among classmates and games provide valuable
learning opportunities for children. Encouraging disabled children to play with
healthy children in mainstream schools is essential. Teachers should actively
participate in sports activities with both groups of children and encourage
them to join different groups and engage in various activities. Teachers and
adults play a pivotal role in increasing social interaction. Children's play
should be encouraged and appreciated, as it helps them develop important social
skills.
They learn to take turns, share, praise each other, help
others, and control their attitudes and emotions, fostering the formation of
friendships. Children should engage in various games and hobbies, forming
groups for social interaction. For example, playing different games together or
creating a big picture or map together. All of these activities enhance social
interaction. Children who, unfortunately, do not have opportunities for such
interactions find it difficult to contribute positively to society. Therefore,
providing opportunities for children to engage socially is crucial to help them
find their place in the community.

Tips for Improving Social Interaction:
According to Bryce, "Social interaction is a two-way
process. You should ensure that you are moving in the right direction (similar
to driving on the right side of the road). Some people have a natural talent
for social interaction, while others find it challenging. Bryce suggests ten
points to improve social interaction:
(i). Greeting Someone:
No one wants to be an unpopular person. A friendly
atmosphere and behavior is preferred in the society. So meet people with happy
feelings, meet each other smilingly with love and warmth. Saying hello creates
a great atmosphere and fosters an atmosphere of cooperation among people. But
only when we are sincere in it
According to
experts, "sincerity" in greeting or meeting is automatically evident
from human behavior. Special attention should however be given to things,
objects or events related to the personality of the visitor.
For example
* Personal.
Expressing personal characteristics such as his clothing,
hair cut or occupation etc.
* Appropriate expressions
Inquiring about the well-being of the person's family, including the health
of his or her children, his or liking
and disliking , his or her position etc.
* Talks about an event project or his job and engagement.
* Comment on any interest, sports, music, entertainment
and current affairs etc.
(ii). Engage in a Conversation:
Dialogue is the best interaction. Some people can
communicate well and some are shy to talk. If someone is shy, then start conversation with a gentle and informal
question, such as asking what are you doing brother in these days ? Or any other relevant conversation to start
a communication. This can help to break the ice and start a useful and
meaningful conversation.
(iii). Volunteer:
Some individuals wait for someone else to take the
initiative. You can take the lead in volunteering , even though it might
required more efforts. Don't feel burdened to go ahead and start volunteering.
This not only benefits others but also builds trust and encourages reciprocity.
(iv). Ask for Advice:
Sometimes people do not like advice or suggestions. They
may consider it disrespectful, although there are many benefits to seeking
advice from peers. The essential answer you've been looking for may be very
easily found. Apart from this, the person from whom the advice is sought feels
that the person seeking the advice trusts him and there are numerous benefits
of restoring trust between two people. However, this caution is necessary to
never give wrong advice.
(v). Network:
This period is a strange period in which the relationship
between trade groups and volunteer
organizations suffers from lack of
mutual cooperation. Mutual trust is decreasing. Therefore, for interaction and
exchange of ideas with groups:
* Use basic social skills.
* Be aware of the latest changes and developments in your
field of interest, and
* Build relationships with people whose knowledge and
skills can be helpful to you.
6:-Turn
Opponents into Proponents:
Competition is natural, but excessive cynicism and greed
can turn opponents into enemies. Accepting both wins and losses with an open
mind is a constructive step towards success. Abraham Lincoln's success was
attributed to his ability to acknowledge and congratulate opponents on their
failures, turning them into supporters and friends. Opposition should not be
taken for granted; it's essential to assess whether it's necessary to create
enemies at any given time.
7:-Be Courteous:
In this civilized age, politeness is crucial. Manners should reflect an individual's character. Basic decency involves treating others with respect, fostering a socially respectful attitude.
8:-Be Positive:
A positive attitude does not mean constant smiling ; it
means understanding and accepting things in a constructive manners.
To deny wrong and harmful ideas,
dismissing things and expressing negativity can also be a
positive attitude. Always knowing what is right and wrong and acting
accordingly can be called a positive attitude.
Do not criticize anyone for no reason. Criticism must be
effective. "According to Churchill, any fool can say that there is
something wrong with anything. But who knows what is good in that thing? That
is, take a positive and correct attitude.
9:-Be
Observant:
The world and the conditions of the world, including our
own, are changing moment by moment. "Consistency is a change. According to
the intellectuals of the time, in order to increase social interaction, a
person should continue his observations. Small changes can be seen." ,
weight gain or loss of one's weight, one's doing one's job well or so on and
any small change. It is only necessary to feel and to know, Why did it happen?
How did this happen? This will help the person to interact with the situation.
And relations with people will improve. Forgetting or remembering people's
names is also a part of observation. Name or visibility is very important in
the business world. It conveys feelings of mutual importance. Giving and
receiving introduction cards is also a social interaction.
10:-Be Honest:
Either we maintain a good relationship or it is a work of
trust and it is not possible with advice, speeches and words without
discrimination, it is based on individual honesty. That is why it is important
for a person to be honest. Trust in society depends on honesty. Integrity is
the character trait that enables individuals to establish mutual trust and
confidence that people are trustworthy. Lack of it destroys societies. And it
doesn't take long. Very soon the whole building of trust collapses. Sometimes one lie, and one
misrepresentation is all it takes to make it all come crashing down. So try not
to misrepresent and lie. If the right answer or method is not known, try to
find the real answer, way and method instead of lying, fabricating and
misrepresenting. This is called honesty and being honest.
By following these suggestions, individuals can improve
their social interaction skills while maintaining a positive and constructive
attitude, fostering cooperation, and building trust with others.
