Primary schools
The aim of these schools is to provide elementary
education to children. In which to organize basic language skills. To teach
elementary arithmetic and to inculcate the value of hard work. The curriculum
of primary education is five years. All these Schools are inspected by the
Assistant Education Officer. The government of Pakistan is opening a large
number of primary schools. On the recommendation of the District Education
Officer of the district, permission is granted by the Divisional Director for
the school on suitable population. While District Education Officer D.E.O is authorized to appoint and transfer the
teachers of all the primary schools of the district.
Secondary schools
Schools that provide education from 6th to 10th grade are
called Secondary schools. There are two types of schools for secondary
education in Pakistan. That is middle school and high school. There are three
classes in the middle school 6th, 7th and 8th and high school has
five grades i.e. 6th to 10th. The Middle School Examination is conducted by the
Education Department. It has a registrar of its Directorate of Schools. While
high school exams are held by the Board of Secondary Education.
Comprehensive
schools
These are schools which organize the teaching of Arts
Group, Science Group, Technical Group, Agriculture Group and Commerce Group
etc. If the students have difficulty in performing in one group, they can be
easily shifted to another suitable group. Subject experts are appointed in such schools
and a large number of students study in such schools.
Divisional Public Schools
The medium of instruction in such schools is English and
they are from 1st class to FSC. These schools are established under the
auspices of the government as well as private associations.
Public
School
Public schools are run by the military and private
agencies. These are from class 1 to
class 10. Their medium of education has been changed to Urdu. There are some
public schools in Pakistan that have classes from sixth to FSC . All such public school exams are conducted
by the Board of Secondary Education.
Cadet College
The management of such institutions is in the hands of
the army. The department up to the secondary level is also be in such
institutions. The examination of these
institutes is also the responsibility of the secondary board.
Intermediate College
After passing matric, students take admission in
intermediate colleges. These institutions have 11th and 12th
level classes. The head of such colleges is called Principal. While the
intermediate exam is taken by the Board of intermediate and secondary education.
degree college
An institution that conducts classes from 1st year
to 14th year standard is called a degree college. The degree is the
same as the college. But some colleges have MA/MSC classes. In such colleges
the exams is conducted for B.A. and M.A./
M.Sc. by affiliated university. The principal is the head of such institutions.
universities
Higher education in Pakistan starts with degree classes. The degree classes are affiliated to the university and the university itself conducts their examination. In addition to M.A/ MSc, MPhil and PhD education is also given in some subjects. M.A classes are also allowed in some colleges. But the exams are held by the universities they are affiliated with.
At the central level, the president is the chancellor of
the University of Pakistan, while at the provincial level, the governor of the
province is the chancellor of the university. After that, the central education
minister is the pro-chancellor of the university at the central level,
similarly the provincial education minister is the pro-chancellor of the
university at the provincial level.
Apart from them,
the vice-chancellor in the university is therefore the administrator. There are
many departments within the university.
There is a chairman in charge of each department, while a
few departments have a dean depending on the subject.
