Former
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Muslim League-N
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who was also the former Prime Minister
of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, has been the center of news for the past
few days that he may have left the Muslim League-N. Shahid Abbasi is one of
Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's loyal and faithful associates.
The issue of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi leaving the party post
has come up at a time when recently PML-N President and Prime Minister Shehbaz
Sharif appointed Maryam Nawaz as senior vice president and chief organizer of
the party. After reaching Pakistan after four months, Maryam Nawaz has also
started her organizational tour of Punjab.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi along with former Finance Minister
Miftah Ismail and former senator of People's Party Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar have
started a series of seminars under the name of Reimaging Pakistan, under which
solutions to the major problems facing Pakistan will be found and
recommendations will be made.
Some observers say that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi thought it
appropriate to leave his position after Maryam Nawaz was given a major
organizational position, which would give the impression that some circles in
the Muslim League (N) are openly opposing traditional politics.
But former finance minister Miftah Ismail said in a
private conversation that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi thinks that Maryam Nawaz should
get a chance to work openly and that is why he has side-lined.
He did not leave the party even in the most difficult
situations, like in the 2018 general election, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi lost his election
from his native NA-57 against Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, a former member of the
National Assembly ( PTI), and from former Prime Minister Mr. Imran khan in NA-53.
But the party made him succeed from Lahore, and made him member of national assembly which shows how important Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is for the
Muslim League.
When Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was disqualified in the
Panama case, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was made the Prime Minister for a short
period and he set an example of simplicity as the Prime Minister and did not
take any kind of privilege.
He did
not take any kind of protocol even ,as being a prime minister.
Now Maryam Nawaz Sharif who has returned from London and
was made the vice president of the party, then Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who was on
the same post for the past few years resigned but also announced that he is not
leaving the party but just to stepping down from the post of Vice President
of the party so that she can organize the party independently in her own way.
But
this news started getting more viral on the media that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi
left Muslim League-Nawaz
But recently, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi called one of his
close associates and asked him to submit his nomination papers to participate
in the by-election from NA-57.
It can be inferred that Shahid Abbasi is still working as
a party worker and is continuing his efforts for the party in his native
region.
So all the news about him that he has left the party are fake
.
It is the need of the hour that there must be a party that can do something for the
prosperity and well being of the citizens but this might
take time for such faithful people to move or to left the party where they have
spent a part of their lives.
