Punjab University registration and admission 2023:
Punjab University is the largest university of Pakistan
which was established in 1882 and millions of students graduate from here every
year and perform their duties in various fields.
Students benefited from this university belong to both
regular and private category.
It is very difficult to get higher education in developing
countries because it is very expensive, but the University of the Punjab has
given a great favour and chance or opportunity to all such candidates to seeking
knowledge and get the higher degree who are financially weak students and cannot
afford to pay heavy fees but want to get higher education.
They can continue their studies as private candidates from this
university.
But for some time now, the HEC had issued orders that BA
should be abolished and BS four-year programs should be started and after BS,
students should directly pursue MS.
In such a case, all those students who were studying along
with their jobs could not continue their studies. And along with that, the
students who used to take private exams due to not being able to pay the fees would
be deprived from education which is their fundamental right. There was a fear
that their fundamental right would also be snatched.
But Punjab University
continued playing a responsible role till the year 2022 for these deserving students who were studying
as private candidates to get the higher degrees. So the university Continued
registration with change of degree title/ name ( associate degree in arts/ science)
and conducted examinations.
But this year, when millions of students were waiting for the
announcement of registration from university so that they would be able to appear
in annual examination 2023.
Suddenly a notification was issued that there will be no
more exams as private candidates. Rather, regular students will be eligible to
take the BS exam under the semester system.
A wave of frustration swept through millions of students.
The Vice-Chancellor took notice of this and decided to
conduct the annual examinations once again in the coming year i.e. 2023.
Among other reasons, one of the reasons given is that the
students who appeared for Part 1 last year are still waiting for their results.
Which is perhaps going to be announced in the first week of
December.
They are entitled to be given the opportunity to take the Part 2 examination. This is a very good decision and this decision also ended the frustration spreading among the students who studied for the entire year and now want to appear in the exam by sending admissions.
