Our ideology, ways of living, our literature, our traditions, architecture, ways of thinking, our dress, standing, sitting, socializing manners and methods together are called our culture and cultural heritage. It includes all the ways of life that we have learned from our elders.

No2- Ancestral heritage:

All the civilized societies of the world cherish the teachings of their forefathers. Sometimes they think of honour by adopting the wrong and unreasonable traditions of their elders. However, the good and useful traditions of elders should be maintained. This thing in the life of society Creates stability and continuity of cultural heritage. The biggest responsibility of education is to protect civilization and culture and also transfers it to future generations.

The idea of education and training of the new generation Even in the early stages of human life, people used to take care of the education and training of their new generation. This method was informal. Boys usually learned the jobs through which their food, shelter and clothing were managed. Girls were usually taught how to do housework and raise children. This process continued for centuries.

Responsibility for the education of children:

The responsibility for the education of children was usually assigned to parents and elders. Later, the clan leaders and chiefs continued to guide the children. In today's era, schools, colleges and other educational institutions are responsible for the preservation and transmission of culture apart from the family. In this way, civilization and culture are being transferred from one generation to another and this process will continue until the Day of Resurrection.

No3- Protection of civilization and culture:

For the protection and transfer of civilization and culture, the objectives of education and teaching methods are determined so that the ideas and beliefs that the nation wants are transferred to the students, and the values that the society wants are clarified in their minds. Considers its cultural heritage. If this is not done, the culture will decline and the identity of such a society will disappear. In today's era, the cultural heritage of every nation has become so vast that it is no longer possible to preserve it without formal education. Therefore, every country spends a lot of money to establish better and better educational institutions. If such educational institutions were not established for the transfer of cultural heritage, this work would have become impossible and all development would have stopped. As a result of this, man would go back to the early period of his civilizational history.

Cultural reconstruction is not the only task of education to preserve cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations.

Rather, the most important duty of education is to reconstruct the social life, otherwise the society can never develop and today it would be the same as thousands of years ago the  man was living in the forests and caves of the mountains. And today's luxury life could not be imagined. Culture is always evolving but never static. Every society adopts many things from other societies. New changes are taking place every day in dress code, social etiquette, eating habits and other ways of living. Even the ideological aspects of culture change under education.

Invention of machines:

After the invention of machines provided facilities in the ways of living, many changes are taking place in the practical aspect of culture. Thanks to radio, television, telephone and other means of communication, the world has become a global village. In such a situation, it has become very important to train the new generation on the right lines of their traditions, values , sciences and arts. Only education fulfils the duty of guiding the society on the right lines.

Unnecessary imitation and protection of cultural heritage:

Unnecessary imitation and preservation of cultural heritage is not something to be proud of. If the imitation of elders was so commendable, the Prophet(SAW) would have followed the path of his forefathers and would not have enlightened the world with any teachings.

According to John Dewey, an American philosopher of education. Reconstruction actually is the reorganisation of experience.

This means that if education does not reconstruct the cultural heritage, the society will remain stagnant.

In this regard, he wants to fulfill the responsibilities and duties imposed on him so that others like him and Define the functions of understanding the environment and the universe.

The learner wants to understand his environment and the universe. Allah has made human nature as fond of learning . This is what constitutes the acquisition of information and knowledge. The child wants to know about the objects around him, the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, even the entire universe and the Creator's will, what is his place in such a big universe? How is it made? What is the system of the education? What are its mysteries and secrets? And why are there? He wants to know the answers to such questions. When growing up, this habit of research and investigation leads to new inventions. An educated society is necessary for the provision of the above needs. The society imposes some social responsibilities on the learner in return for the provision of its needs and this goal is achieved only through education. Through education, individuals are prepared in such a way that their needs are fulfilled and they in turn adopt the culture of the society and prove to be good citizens and successfully lead different periods of life in the future. National education plays a fundamental role for cultural unity and national unity and education should fulfill this duty. Illiteracy is also our big problem. For the development of the country, it is necessary to solve the problem in education. All thinkers about democracy agree that it does not work in an illiterate and semi-literate society. Islam has made education compulsory for all Muslims. Despite this, the majority of the people of Pakistan are illiterate. It is also necessary for the eradication of illiteracy, for the successful running of democracy and for the development of the country, that education should play its proper role.
