Unity is strength

         Unity is strength:

A farmer had three sons. They always 

quarrelled amongst themselves. 

The farmer was very upset about them. He 

wanted to teach them the lesson of unity 

and its strength. 

As he was an old man, one day he fell ill 

and he thought that now it was the time of 

his departure from this world to the next 

world that is eternal. 

He was worried about his sons. He thought 

a plan and called them before him.

When all the three sons were infront of 

him. He asked them to bring sticks from 

the forest. They went to the forest and brought the sticks. Now they were infront of their father again. 

The farmer told them to tie the sticks into 

a bundle and asked each son to break the 

bundle of sticks. Everyone tried his best but couldn't break the bundle of sticks. Then farmer asked them to untie the bundle and broke the sticks one by one.

Now it was very easy for them to do so. 

They atonce broke the sticks easily. 

At the point the farmer told them that 

they were like the sticks ,if they would be unite no enemy could harm them.

The sons got the lesson and promised that 

they would never fight again and would 

live united.

Now the farmer was happy that his sons 

had got the lesson of the strength of unity.

Moral!
